Turkey Cheddar Lunch Roll Ups

Who doesn’t love a quick and easy lunch!? These Turkey and Cheddar Lunch Roll Ups are the easiest to whip up and make the best lunches, especially for kids! Similar to my Italian Pinwheels and  Salami and Spinach Lunch Roll Ups, these Turkey and Cheddar Roll Ups are quick and extremely easy to make. They are ideal to put in your kids lunchbox and they will be sure to eat them all.

These pinwheels are fun to eat because they are rolled up and require a few bites. You can serve these Roll Ups as a snack, lunch, or even appetizer for a party! If you love seafood, you need to try my Smoked Salmon Roll Ups!

Turkey Cheddar Lunch Roll Ups steps

You can double, triple or quadruple this recipe depending on how many rolls ups you want to make. Roll ups are easy to make and there’s a ton of deliciousness wrapped up in a tortilla! Adding these to any lunchbox will make anyone a happy camper!

TIPS FOR MAKING THE BEST TURKEY ROLL UPS

  • You can use whipped cream cheese to ensure an easier spread on the tortilla.
  • Make sure when rolling up your tortilla, roll it tightly so the roll ups don’t fall apart.
  • Other additional ingredients you can add are: sliced tomatoes, mashed avocado, olives, spinach, sprouts, and sliced cucumbers. If you want to add more you can use a larger sized tortilla so they don’t break when rolling.
  • If you serve these for a party, you can insert a toothpick to seal them to ensure they won’t fall apart and they will be easy to pick up.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED TO MAKE TURKEY AND CHEDDAR LUNCH ROLL UPS

  • Cream cheese: flavored cream cheeses such as sun dried tomato, onion and chive cream cheese, or herb spreads work great and adds flavor!
  • Salt + pepper: adds flavor
  • Green onion: if your making this for kids, you can omit the onions if you prefer
  • Deli turkey: salami, ham, and roast beef are other great alternatives or you can use a combination of any of these
  • Sliced cheddar cheese: Swiss cheese, Havarti, Jack, Mozzarella, and Pepper Jack work great in this recipe too
  • Tortillas: if you want to make this a healthier option, use whole wheat tortillas
  • Shredded lettuce: adds a bit of crunch and color

HOW TO MAKE TURKEY ROLL UPS

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, green onions, salt and pepper until combined.
  2. Lay one tortilla flat on a cutting board and spread half of the cream cheese mixture all the way to the edges. This will act like the “glue” and seal the tortillas together.
  3. Sprinkle half of the lettuce on the the tortilla and then layer 3 slices of turkey and 2 pieces of cheese. Be sure to place the turkey and cheese on the left side of the tortilla but not touching the edge. Start by rolling one end of the tortilla gently but tightly. Roll until the tortilla is completely rolled up and press your finger to seal the tortilla roll ups. Add more cream cheese if needed to seal more. Continue with the remaning tortilla.
  4. Cut each tortilla roll up in half and then cut each half into 5 pieces and remove the unfilled ends or keep them to eat! Serve and enjoy!

Hi! Thanks so much! Yes you can definitely make it in bulk and refrigerate it up to 4 days, OR you can wrap the roll ups in plastic wrap and slice when ready to eat for an extra 3 days in the fridge. Hope this helps!
