Peanut Butter Banana Bread Oatmeal 1

The great thing about eating oatmeal is 1) it’s healthy and 2) it takes less than 10 minutes to make. For those two reasons, I feel like I should eat oatmeal everyday or at least a few times a week. I have always been an oatmeal advocate.

Some of my favorite ways to enjoy oatmeal is with strawberries and chocolate,  as a breakfast cookie, or hidden in muffins for a fiber boost.  Peanut butter is my favorite. Who doesn’t like peanut butter?

I feel like I am always on the hunt for new ideas to spruce up oats and this Peanut Butter Banana Bread Oatmeal is one of my top 3 favorites. I love banana bread and make it any time I get a chance and when I have overripe bananas. As of recently, I started adding peanut butter to my banana bread recipe and now I can’t make it without it. You will have to try this the next time you whip up a batch of banana bread.

Ok now lets talk nutrition- this oatmeal is loaded with fiber (oatmeal) , potassium (bananas), protein (peanut butter), and antioxidants (cinnamon).  This is an automatic win for anyone trying to eat a perfectly nutritious breakfast.

Attention to all Moms wanting to serve up a quick breakfast to their kids before school…this is perfect!

Do you use quick oats? How long do you cook them?

I just use the regular old fashioned oats! They usually take about 5 minutes to cook. Super easy!
