Easy Butterfinger Ice Cream

EASY BUTTERFINGER® ICE CREAM

You will not believe how easy this NO CHURN homemade Butterfinger Ice Cream is to make from scratch. It is ridiculously good and takes less than 10 minutes to prepare. You don’t need a fancy ice cream maker to make this- just an electric mixer and a bowl.

I love Butterfinger and vanilla ice cream, so this dessert is a dream! I especially love the crunchiness it brings to this ice cream and unique peanut-buttery flavor. The crispety, crunchety texture from this candy is so delicious in this recipe!

There are only a few simple steps to this recipe. It doesn’t get any easier than this- I promise!

Chop: the first step is to coarsely chop all of your Butterfinger® pieces. You can make the pieces as chunky or chopped as you want. I found my Fun Size Butterfinger® bag at my local Safeway store in the chocolate/candy aisle.

Mix: mix the heavy cream, instant vanilla pudding, and sweetened condensed milk with an electric mixture. It will be light and fluffy.

Fold: fold in the Butterfinger® pieces and place in a freezer friendly container. Top with more Butterfinger® pieces.

Freeze: freeze the ice cream for at least 6 hours.

Scoop: scoop the ice cream into an ice cream cone or bowl.

Easy Butterfinger Ice Cream steps

I guarantee you will be hooked on this recipe and your family will be asking for more the second it’s gone. This ice cream is great for dinner parties, BBQs, summer days, holidays, and any day you feel like ice cream!

Easy Butterfinger Ice Cream

INGREDIENTS NEEDED

  • Heavy whipping cream: this is the base of the ice cream and makes it ultra creamy.
  • Sweetened condensed milk: adds texture, sweetness and creaminess.
  • Instant vanilla pudding: adds sweetness and gives the ice cream the ultimate vanilla flavor.
  • Butterfinger® Fun Size bars: this is the best part of the ice cream!

HOW TO MAKE THIS EASY BUTTERFINGER ICE CREAM

  1. In a large bowl beat together the whipping cream with an electric mixer for 3-4 minutes or until the cream becomes lighty and fluffy. It will resemble a whipped cream consistency.
  2. Add in the instant pudding mix and slowly add in the sweetened condensed milk. Beat together for another minute until airy and incorporated.
  3. Fold the Butterfinger pieces into the ice cream mixture until combined. Pour the ice cream mixture into a freezer safe container. Add the remaining Butterfinger pieces to the top of the ice cream.
  4. Cover the ice cream with a lid or plastic wrap and place in the freezer. Freeze the ice cream for at least 6 hours before serving.

HOW TO SERVE THIS BUTTERFINGER ICE CREAM

My favorite ways to serve this ice cream is in an ice cream cone or a bowl! You can also top this ice cream on brownies, pies, cakes, and more!

LEFTOVERS

This homemade ice cream recipe will feed a crowd so if you have leftovers, make sure to cover with a lid or cover tightly with plastic wrap. The ice cream will last in the freezer for up to a month. If you use plastic wrap to cover the ice cream be sure to wrap it directly onto the surface of the ice cream. This will prevent the ice cream from getting freezer burn or any ice on top.

When ready to enjoy ice cream, let it sit on the counter for 5-10 minutes to soften before scooping.

This is beautiful and looks so yummy! Why are there no Butterfingers where I live? I was drooling over the photos of the chopped ones, they look so flaky and crispy… I can’t wait to be able to travel again to get to shop foods I can’t get here, abroad! I love food souvenirs!
