Why You’ll Love brie bread

key ingredients
- Sourdough loaf: Make sure it’s round or oval. Any kind of bread will work. We also love using French bread for this.
- Brie cheese: The star ingredient! We leave the rind on and cut into slices.
- Prosciutto: We bake the prosciutto until crisp and then chop it into small pieces for salty, savory bites.
- Pistachios: Crushed or chopped adds crunch, color and nutty flavor.
- Hot honey: Store-bought or homemade adds sweetness and a little kick. Feel free to use regular honey if you don’t want any heat.
- Herbs: Use fresh or dried herbs such as thyme, rosemary or parsley to add more flavor.

how to make easy brie bread
Bake prosciutto: Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lay prosciutto into little nests and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until crispy. Let cool.
Cover bread with brie slices: In the meantime, line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and lay half of the sourdough loaf in the middle. Slice brie cheese into slices and cover all over the top of the bread. You will probably have some slices leftover, save them for later or eat them as a snack!
Chop crispy prosciutto: While the bread bakes, chop the prosciutto into little pieces.
Bake until melty: Bake bread for 10-12 minutes or until brie is completely melted.
Add toppings and enjoy! Immediately drizzle hot honey all over the bread, then sprinkle with prosciutto pieces, crushed pistachios, dried or fresh thyme and salt. Use a sharp knife to carefully cut into slices, serve and enjoy!

variations
- Nut-free Brie Bread: Skip pistachios or swap with toasted breadcrumbs for crunch.
- Other toppings to add: Olives, sun-dried tomatoes, tart cranberries, garlic butter and a drizzle of olive oil make great additions.
- Bread: Instead of a sourdough loaf, you could use French Bread, any kind of French baguette, homemade bread, or any other bread thats shaped into a loaf.
- Different nuts: Try walnuts, pecans, or toasted almonds instead of pistachios.
- Milder Brie Bread: Use regular honey instead of hot honey for a kid-friendly version.
- Garlic flavor: If you want to you add garlic flavor, add a head of roasted garlic or chopped garlic cloves. Find out how to easily make roasted garlic here.
- Extra crispy: Bake it for a few minutes longer, but be careful not to burn it.

Brie bread tips
- Leave the rind on the brie: The rind is totally edible and is the secret to the brie holding it’s shape as it melts. It also adds extra flavor and texture.
- Add toppings right before serving: Pistachios, hot honey and prosciutto are best added to hot, fresh from the oven Brie Bread. This keeps the nuts crunchy and the honey nice and drizzly.
- Serve immediately for maximum gooey-ness: Brie is at its best when it’s warm and melty. Have your guests ready and everything else set out so this can go straight from the oven to the table.
- Extra heat: Add red pepper flakes to the baked bread to make this extra spicy.

leftovers & storage
To-Store: Place cooled Brie Bread in a ziplock bag or airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350 degrees F for a few minutes until warmed and melty.
Freezing: Brie Bread is best fresh; you can prep the loaf with brie in advance and bake right before serving, but I don’t recommend freezing once baked.
