Cranberry Baked Brie

Cranberry Baked Brie

This super easy warm baked brie appetizer is the easiest and made with only 5 ingredients! Creamy brie cheese is baked until soft and gooey. Topped with zesty cranberry sauce to add some sweetness, making a delightful combination.

If you’re looking for easy appetizers to make this holiday season, look no further. Others to try are Spicy Honey Shrimp, Antipasto Skewers, Pizza Dip, and Baked Parmesan Artichoke Hearts.

If you love brie cheese just as much as I do, you will love this recipe. This may be one of the easiest appetizers to make and prep for. Make this and share it with your family and friends at your next holiday party or get together. This will be a hit for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, game days or pretty much any time you are craving brie cheese.

Cranberry Baked Brie

You can make this with fresh, canned or even leftover cranberry sauce from Thanksgiving! The tart flavor from the cranberries pairs so well with the creaminess of the brie. The luscious gooey brie is so soft it basically melts right into your cracker or baguette slice.

Is your mouth watering yet?

WHY YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS BAKED BRIE RECIPE

  • Quick appetizer. It takes minutes to prep and minutes to bake. It’s almost too easy. You don’t need any fancy kitchen gadgets or specialty ingredients.
  • Everyone loves brie cheese! If you’re going to serve one appetizer, make sure brie cheese is involved and nobody will be disappointed.
  • It’s extremely versatile. You can use any of your favorite nuts, jams or different types of brie cheese to make this recipe. Any of your favorite crackers, bread or even veggies can be served with this.
  • It looks a lot fancier than it is. This festive appetizer is gorgeous and eye catching! Your guests will be impressed with this appetizer and little will they know it only takes a few minutes to make!

Cranberry Baked Brie

I’m telling you, this baked brie appetizer is a must try! The cheesy richness is even more delicious when it’s baked for a few minutes in the oven.

INGREDIENTS

  • Brie cheese: You’ll want to get a whole wheel of brie cheese.
  • Cranberry sauce: You can use homemade cranberry sauce using fresh cranberries or canned. Leftover homemade cranberry sauce is perfect for this!
  • Orange juice & orange zest: Adds the holidays flavors to the cranberry sauce.
  • Chopped pecans: Added for crunch. Other great nut options for this recipe is chopped walnuts hazelnuts, pecans and almonds.

HOW TO MAKE CRANBERRY BAKED BRIE

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cut the top of the brie wheel off with a sharp knife and place the brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or in an oven-safe baking dish. Bake for 5 minutes and remove from oven.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the cranberry sauce, orange zest and orange juice until combined.
  3. Top the softened brie with the cranberry mixture and sprinkle the pecans on top. Place the brie back in the oven and bake for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is gooey. You want to be sure to remove the brie from the oven before it becomes too soft and looses its form.
  4. Lift the parchment paper and place on a platter or carefully use a spatula to lift the cheese onto a serving platter or serving dish. Garnish with fresh herbs such as fresh rosemary or thyme and serve immediately. Serve with crackers or baguette slices.

How to Serve Baked Brie

  • Charcuterie Boards: This will be a cheese lovers dream! Place brie on your holiday charcuterie board and everyone will be amazed.
  • Fresh Fruit: Serve with fresh apple slices, blueberries, strawberries, and orange slices.
  • Dippers: Use your favorite assorted crackers or baguette slices to dip.

Recipe Tips & Variations

  • Crescent Rolls: Wrap the brie cheese wheel with your favorite crescent roll dough. Alternatively, you could also use puff pastry dough as well. Be sure to brush the top of the dough with an egg wash before baking.
  • Cranberry Brie Bites: Make these in a mini form by using mini brie cheese wheels instead of a large one.
  • Use a sharp knife: When cutting the top of the brie, make sure to use a sharp knife so it’s easier to cut.

Leftovers

If you happen to have leftovers (which I doubt you will) make sure to store the brie cheese in an airtight container or wrap tightly with plastic wrap. To reheat, place in the oven at 350 degrees F and heat until warmed or place in the microwave for 15-30 seconds. The brie will last up to 3 days.
