THESE CHEESE PIZZA ROLL UPS ARE

  • Perfect for a game day snack or appetizer!
  • Buttery, cheesy and has all the flavors of pizza.
  • Easy enough for kids to make!
  • Made with only a few ingredients and take less than 30 minutes to make.

PIZZA ROLL UP VARIATIONS

The ingredients in this recipe are so simple, you most likely already have most of them at home. You can easily switch up the pizza flavors if you have a favorite! Some other options are:

Pepperoni Pizza Roll Ups- add pepperoni, you can use mini pepperonis or cut quarter regular sized pepperonis.

Sausage Pizza Roll Ups- add crumbled cooked sausage to the center of the roll ups on top of the cheese.

Vegetarian Pizza Roll Ups– you can add sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, olives and onions. Make sure not to make these too full otherwise the rolls ups will rip.

INGREDIENTS TO MAKE CHEESE PIZZA ROLL UPS

  • Crescent dinner rolls: the star ingredient and everyone loves them.
  • Pizza sauce: classic marinara sauce will work too, the flavor will be slightly different.
  • Mozzarella cheese: you can also use string cheese if you don’t have shredded cheese. Slice
  • Olive oil, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, parmesan cheese: used to make the seasoned olive oil that gets brushed on top.

HOW TO MAKE CHEESE PIZZA ROLL UPS

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with a silpat mat or parchment paper.
  2. Unroll and separate crescent rolls into triangles. Place on the baking sheet and add about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce on each crescent roll. Spread on about half of the crescent roll and then sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of mozzarella cheese.
  3. Starting with the wide end of each crescent roll, roll up each triangle and tuck the ends underneath and place the seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and garlic powder until combined. Brush or drizzle over the unbaked pizza rolls and bake for 12-14 minutes, or until golden brown.

Cheese Pizza Roll Ups

The seasoned buttery topping makes these Cheese Pizza Roll Ups complete! It gives these roll ups an extra buttery flavor and adds a bit of extra flavor from the seasonings and parmesan cheese. Delicious!

I always highly recommend eating these rolls ups when they are warm and while the cheese is still gooey and warm! Just like a cheese pizza.

LEFTOVERS

If you have leftovers, be sure to store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat the roll ups, simply microwave for about 30-45 seconds or until warmed.
