Say hello to your new favorite sweet and healthy frozen treat! This Strawberry Nice Cream is the easiest treat to make and packed with fresh fruit, milk and sweetened with a little honey! The consistency is creamy so you won’t believe this healthy ice cream is good for you!
You don’t need a fancy ice cream maker to make this dessert and there is no-churning involved! All you need is a standard blender or food processor. I love eating this ice cream with a sugar cone and it makes the most perfect dessert- especially on those extra warm days!
INGREDIENTS TO MAKE STRAWBERRY NICE CREAM
- Frozen strawberries: you could also use fresh strawberries but the ice cream mixture won’t be as thick after blending.
- Frozen bananas: make sure the bananas are ripe. The riper, the sweeter the nice cream! You can also chop up your bananas and flash freeze them for about 20 minutes.
- Milk or almond milk: added for creaminess and makes this nice cream feel like real ice cream!
- Vanilla extract: adds flavor and enhances the flavor of the fruit.
- Honey: use more or less deepening on how sweet you want this treat to be!
HOW TO MAKE STRAWBERRY NICE CREAM
- Place all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and all of the ingredients are combined, about 5 minutes. Be sure to scrape down the sides of the blender or food processor often.
- Serve immediately if you want the consistency to be more like a thick frozen yogurt or pour the ice cream mixture into a loaf pan or airtight container. Cover with plastic wrap or a lid and place in the freezer and freeze for at least an hour.
- When ready to enjoy, use an ice cream scoop and serve in a bowl or ice cream cone. Enjoy!
There is ZERO sugar added to this healthy Strawberry Nice Cream recipe so don’t worry about indulging in this! I never thought ice cream would be so easy to make at home until I made my Easy Homemade Butterfingers Ice Cream which doesn’t require an ice cream maker or churning– woo hoo!
RECIPE VARIATIONS
Dairy-free and Vegan Strawberry Ice Cream: you can easily turn this Strawberry Nice Cream vegan and dairy-free by simply using almond milk instead of regular milk. You can swap the honey for agave syrup and it will still be delicious!
Make your Nice Cream Chunky: if you love chunky ice cream, add freshly diced strawberries to the Nice Cream mixture once it has been blended and is smooth.
Add Chocolate Chips: if you love chocolate, add a handful or two of mini or regular chocolate chips to your ice cream after it has been blended.
I love the creamy factor of this Strawberry Nice Cream because without that, it wound’t seem like it was “ice cream”. You can add more fruit to this or drizzle some melted dark chocolate on top for an extra special treat!
Eating healthy and staying on track is something that we always try to do, so having this sweet and frosty Strawberry Nice Cream for dessert makes me happy and feel good at the end of the day. It’s also better for you than the store-bought stuff!
This Nice Cream tastes similar and has a similar consistency as a sorbet or sherbet ice cream. It’s just not loaded with sugar and is a bit creamier.
LEFTOVERS
This Strawberry Nice Cream freezes well (if you have any leftover). Be sure to store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month. When ready to eat, let the nice cream thaw out for about 5-10 minutes so it gets soft and creamy. Scoop and enjoy just as it is or an ice cream cone!

This ice cream would be SO delicious with fresh strawberries when they are in season!
I really appreciate how this simple and straightforward recipe makes for such a quick and easy tasty-looking dessert- thanks!!
Thank you, I hope you loved it!
Mine didnt turn creamy, more on the icy side. Should i add more banana?
Oh no! You can try adding more bananas (make sure they are on the riper side).
Looks really yummy! I’m definitely going to try it!
Does it keep well or should you use it all at once?
Hi Searle, thank you so much! The nice cream stores really well in the freezer. Store it in an airtight container or cover loaf pan with plastic wrap and foil for up to 1 month. Thaw to soften when ready to eat. Enjoy!
This was a bit of a letdown in terms of taste and texture. The end result after three hours in freezer was a very icy dessert without a strong strawberry flavor. I think perhaps it is best eaten right away while it has a creamy consistency. I will also add that my Cusinart ground away for a good 10-15 minutes trying to breakdown the frozen strawberries and bananas–I am sure I would have blown my blender motor out if I had used it instead of the food processor!
It looks great. I can’t have hunny what else can I use
I also added a big scoop of chocolate hummus 😊. Will definitely be using this over and over this summer.
