This healthy Classic Three Bean Salad is one of our favorite salads to make for just about any meal! Garbanzo Beans, Kidney Beans and Green Beans are tossed together in a light and zesty dressing. Serve this at your next BBQ, summer picnic, potluck or as an appetizer or side dish! 

Be sure to try my Spicy Cowboy Dip that’s similar and also makes an easy side dish salad. 

I love how simple and easy this Classic Three Bean Salad is because this recipe is made with ingredients you already have in your pantry and refrigerator. This salad takes 10 minutes to make and can be prepped the day or night before. Its always best to let the ingredients sit in the fridge for an hour but you don’t have to!

INGREDIENTS TO MAKE CLASSIC GREEN BEAN SALAD RECIPE

  • Garbanzo beans
  • Kidney beans
  • Green beans
  • Red onions
  • Parsley
  • Olive oil
  • Red wine vinegar
  • Garlic powder + onion powder
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt + pepper

HOW TO MAKE CLASSIC GREEN BEAN SALAD RECIPE

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the beans, onions and parsley until combined.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together all of the dressing ingredients.
  3. Add the dressing to the beans and toss to coat. Place the salad in the refrigerator until ready to serve. It’s best to let the bean salad sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour to allow the flavors of the dressing to soak up the beans.

Ingredients

  • 1 15 oz. can garbanzo beans; rinsed and drained
  • 1 15 oz. can kidney beans; rinsed and drained

    Three bean salad used to be my favourite thing to make and eat years ago. But for some reason, I forgot all about it! Thanks for the reminder. Definitely going to be reviving my addiction again this summer 🙂
