Jalapeño Artichoke Dip
I love a good creamy dip and this Spicy Artichoke Dip happens to be one of my favorites dips! It’s almost too easy to make and it will satisfy all of your dip cravings, especially if you love a creamy, hot Artichoke Jalapeno Dip!
This Jalapeño Artichoke Dip recipe has all the same flavors of a classic Artichoke Dip except it has a hint of spice- thanks to the pickled jalapeños and fresh jalapeño.
We use marinated chopped artichoke hearts to add the most flavor and a few simple ingredients you most likely already have at home. You can serve this dip hot or cold and it tastes so much better than the store bought kind.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
key ingredients
- Marinated Artichokes: This is key! Marinated artichoke hearts works best for this recipe because they add SO MUCH more flavor than just plain artichoke hearts.
- Cream cheese: Adds richness, flavor and a creamy element. I prefer using full fat cream cheese for extra creamy goodness.
- Parmesan cheese: Grated or shredded will work and adds a key flavor and cheesy texture.
- Mayonnaise: This makes the dip extremely creamy. You could use avocado mayo or light mayo for a healthier alternative.
- Pickled jalapeños or green chiles: Add as little or much depending on how spicy you want your dip to be.
- Fresh jalapeños: We use two tablespoons but you can add more if you want it extra spicy.
- Seasonings: Garlic powder, onion powder, salt and black pepper.
HOW TO MAKE Jalapeno ARTICHOKE DIP
Mix ingredients in a bowl: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place all of the ingredients in a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer until combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and mix again.
Bake and serve: Transfer the dip to an oven-safe dish or mini casserole dish and bake for 20 minutes or until melty and the top is a light golden brown. Serve with your crostini or your favorite chips, or crackers. Enjoy!
WHAT TO SERVE WITH ARTICHOKE DIP?
Serve this with your favorite dippers or crackers such as:
- Ritz crackers
- Potato chips
- Pita chips
- Tortilla chips
- Pretzels
- Wheat Thins
- Toasted baguette slices
- Bread pieces
- Raw veggies: Make this a low-carb snack by serving it with cucumber slices, carrot sticks, sliced bell peppers celery sticks, or endive.
Can I Make This Dip In Advance?
YES! I love making dips a few hours ahead or the day before because it lets the flavors come together. The longer the dip sits in the refrigerator, the more flavor it will have.
tips & variations
- Cold Artichoke Dip: If you don’t want to serve this dip hot, you can skip the baking part and serve it right away!
- Double the recipe: Layer this dip in a 13×9 inch baking dish or large party dish.
- Low carb dish: Make this into a low carb snack by dipping your favorite fresh vegetables in this dip.
- Softened cream cheese: This is key for an extra creamy dip! For best results, let the cream cheese sit out on the counter for a few hours before making the dip. It should be soft enough that you could blend the dip with a fork.
- Eye catching dip: Make this dip extra pretty by studding the top of the dip with fresh diced jalapeño, green onions, and/or chives.
- Extra cheesy: Add extra shredded cheese to the dip such as Monterey Jack Cheese, Colby Jack, Pepper Jack Cheese, Mozzarella Cheese, or any of your favorite types of cheese.
- Add protein: Make this dip protein packed and hearty by adding chopped chicken breast to the mixture.
storing leftover dip
The great news is this dip will last about one week when in an airtight container in the refrigerator. You could also cover the dish with plastic wrap or aluminum foil.
You may need to give the dip a stir if any excess moisture appears at the top or pat it away with a paper towel, and it will taste just as delicious as I did the first day you made it. Having dip handy in the fridge at all times is always a good idea!
CAN YOU FREEZE ARTICHOKE DIP?
You can! This dip will last in the freezer for up to 3 months when covered completely with plastic wrap, aluminum foil and then plastic wrap again. I would also store this dip in a disposable pan. When ready to eat, defrost completely, then warm in the oven.
