This peanut candy only takes a minute to put together and then you let the crock pot to do work. It slowly melts the chocolate so all you have to do is scoop the clusters and let them harden. There are plenty of ways you could customize this recipe (see list below) so everyone is guaranteed to love these, especially chocolate lovers!

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
key ingredients
- Peanuts: We use dry roasted peanuts because they are crunchier and have a richer flavor than raw peanuts t but you could also use salted or unsalted raw peanuts if needed.
- Almond bark: Almond bark or white candy melts work best for homemade candy because they melt so smoothly, easily, and have the perfect consistency. You could use chocolate chips if needed you just need to add coconut oil to help break down the fats. You can usually find almond bark at any grocery store in the baking aisle.
- Sprinkles: For fun! I love using different colors and themed sprinkles for different holidays and occasions. Sprinkles are optional so you can also leave these clusters plain.
how to make peanut clusters
Place ingredients in crock pot: Place peanuts and almond bark in crock pot and cook on LOW for 2 hours or until bark is melted.
Prepare baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
Give mixture a good stir: Stir the peanuts and melted bark together until combined and the peanuts are completely coated.
Form into clusters: Use a spoon or mini cookie scoop onto prepared baking sheet to form 25 clusters. Add sprinkles before clusters start to harden and let sit until set. I like to place the peanut clusters in the refrigerator to set for at least 15 minutes. Enjoy!
tips & variations
- Switch up the melting chocolate: I use white almond bark but you can use any color of candy melts, or chocolate almond bark.
- Chocolate chips: If you’d rather use chocolate chips to make these little clusters you can but it’s extremely important to use 1 teaspoon of coconut oil for each cup of chocolate chips so it melts properly. Use semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, or dark chocolate chips. You can also use a combination of different types of chocolate.
- Add peanut butter flavor: Add a few tablespoons of creamy peanut butter to the chocolate mixture and melt. Top with your favorite peanut butter candies. Peanut butter lovers will love this!
- Add a little bit of salt: Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top of the chocolate before letting it set in the refrigerator. This will balance out the sweetness and enhance the flavors.
- Nut variation: Instead of peanuts use chopped pecans, walnuts, almonds, or or cashew nuts.
- Add ins: Chopped cookies, marshmallows, toffee pieces, crushed graham crackers, peanut butter chips, pretzel pieces, and caramel candies. Be sure to add them during step 3 when you stir the candy together.
- Small or medium clusters: Use a small cookie scoop or medium cookie scoop for the size you want your clusters to be.
leftovers & storage
Store Peanut Clusters in an airtight container in a cool place at room temperature for to 2-3 weeks. I like to keep these in the refrigerator because I prefer cold candy but this is optional.
can you freeze peanut clusters?
Yes! Freeze the candies in a freezer bag for up to six months. Allow the candies to thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
