Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet

This Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet is what cookie dreams are made of! Warm, gooey, and packed with melty chocolate, baked to golden perfection right in a skillet. The center stays soft and gooey while the edges turn chewy and slightly crisp, just the way a chocolate chip cookie should be!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup salted butter softened at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoonn pure vanilla extract
  • 2 whole large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup M&Ms

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and spray a cast iron skillet with non stick cooking spray or with butter.
  • In a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer or in the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together butter and sugars until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  • Add the vanilla extract and eggs and continue to mix until combined.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
  • Add the flour mixture to the wet mixture and mix until dough comes together.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and M&Ms until evenly combined into the cookie dough.
  • Spoon the dough into the prepared skillet and press down with spatula. Top with more chocolate chips and M&Ms. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is a light golden brown.
  • Let the cookie skillet cool for a few minutes and then top with ice cream, toppings and enjoy! *The cast iron will be hot so do not touch.
