- 1/2 cup salted butter softened at room temperature
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoonn pure vanilla extract
- 2 whole large eggs
- 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup M&Ms
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and spray a cast iron skillet with non stick cooking spray or with butter.
In a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer or in the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together butter and sugars until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
Add the vanilla extract and eggs and continue to mix until combined.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
Add the flour mixture to the wet mixture and mix until dough comes together.
Stir in chocolate chips and M&Ms until evenly combined into the cookie dough.
Spoon the dough into the prepared skillet and press down with spatula. Top with more chocolate chips and M&Ms. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is a light golden brown.
Let the cookie skillet cool for a few minutes and then top with ice cream, toppings and enjoy! *The cast iron will be hot so do not touch.
