Dunkaroo Dip

This nostalgic Dunkaroo Dip is made with only 5 ingredients and tastes exactly like the real Dunkaroo dip from back in the day! It's the perfect party dip and it takes less than 5 minutes to whip up.

Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American
Keyword: cake batter dip, dunkaroo dip, funfetti dip
Servings: 10 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 box Funfetti cake mix
  • 1 8 oz. tube of fat-free or lite Cool Whip
  • 1 cup vanilla flavored Greek yogurt fat-free or low-fat works best
  • 1/4-1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
  • dippers (animal crackers, teddy grahams, pretzels, graham crackers, or Nilla wafers)

Instructions

  • Heat treat the cake mix (instructions on how to heat treat the cake mix is below in the recipe card).
  • Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix with a whisk or wooden spoon. Alternatively, you can also beat together with an electric mixer.
  • Be sure to mix until there are no lumps in the mix. Place in a serving bowl and top with extra sprinkles (totally optional but it makes this dip more fun). Let the dip chill in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
  • Serve chilled dip with animal crackers or your favorite dippers. You can eat this dip at room temperature but I highly recommend chilling it to set for best results.

Notes

Recipe Notes:
  1. Store any leftover dip in an airtight container or cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days. You may need to stir the dip when you want to eat it again.
  2. To heat treat the cake mix to make it safe to eat, place on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for about 5-10 minutes. You can also microwave the cake mix which would be the quickest and easiest way. Place the cake mix in a bowl and heat on high for 20-45 seconds. Each microwave is different, so please be mindful of the temperature.
