Halloween Rice Krispie Treats

Halloween Rice Krispie Treats make a fun and festive treat! They are soft, chewy, gooey and packed with M&Ms and Halloween sprinkles for fun. This no bake treat is easy, quick to make and perfect for Halloween parties!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 10 ounces mini marshmallows plus 2 cups
  • 6 cups Rice crispy cereal
  • 1/2 cup Halloween M&Ms plus more for topping
  • 1/3 cup Halloween sprinkles plus more for topping

Instructions

  • Line a 13×9 inch pan with foil or parchment paper and grease with butter or nonstick cooking spray.
  • Bring a large pot or stock pot to medium heat. Add butter and melt.
  • Reduce the heat to low heat and add mini marshmallows. Stir until melted, then add vanilla extract.
  • Remove the pot from heat and stir in the cereal until the marshmallow mixture completely coats the cereal.
  • Mix in 2 cups of mini marshmallows, M&Ms and sprinkles. Be sure not to stir too much or too long, otherwise the colors will start to melt.
  • Add the mixture to the prepared pan and gently press the mixture into the pan. Don't press too hard otherwise your treats will be too dense and hard. Top with more M&Ms and sprinkles (optional).
  • Let cool for 20-30 minutes, then cut into squares and enjoy!
