Ingredients

  • 1 15 ounce. can refried beans
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup salsa plus 1 tablespoon
  • 1/2 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1 cup homemade or store-bought guacamole
  • 2 cups shredded Jack, sharp cheddar or Mexican blend divided
  • toppings of your choice I used black olives, chopped tomatoes, green onions
  • tortilla chips to dip

Instructions

  • In a 9 inch pie dish or square baking dish, layer refried beans onto the bottom of the dish. We add the beans first because they are the most difficult to spread out unless they are warmed.
  • In a small bowl, combine sour cream, taco seasoning and 1 tablespoon of salsa. Mix until combined.
  • Add the sour cream layer on top followed by the guacamole. Make sure both are spread out evenly.
  • Spoon on the salsa and spread out evenly.
  • Top with shredded cheese and add your favorite toppings (optional). Enjoy with tortilla chips or your favorite dippers!
