Ingredients

  • 6 cups Chex cereal ( I used 3 cups wheat Chex cereal and 3 cups Rice Chex cereal)
  • 2 1/2 cups mini pretzels
  • 2 1/2 cups rye chips
  • 1 1/2 cups mixed nuts I used salted peanuts
  • 1/2 cup salted butter melted and cooled
  • 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons seasoned salt such as garlic salt or Lawry's
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees F and and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the Chex cereal, pretzels, rye chips, and mixed nuts in a large mixing bowl. Mix together until combined.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt together.
  • Pour the sauce over the dry ingredients, folding together with a rubber spatula so the cereal doesn't break it's shape.
  • Spread the coated mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 1 hour, rotating and flipping the mixture every 15 minutes. Let cool completely and enjoy!

Notes

Store: Make sure the Chex mix is cooled completely. Store in an airtight container or large ziplock bag in a cool area at room temperature for up to 3 weeks. Fresh is always best if you want to enjoy the crunch and crispiness.
Freeze: Store Chex mix in a freezer bag or airtight container for up to 3 months. Thaw completely and enjoy.
