Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. In a small bowl, combine all of the seasonings (brown sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cumin). Place the pork on a large sheet of foil and rub the seasoning mix all over pork.
In a large Dutch oven on medium heat, add the oil. Brown the pork on all sides (a few minutes on each side).
Add the beer all around the pork and cover with lid. Transfer the pork to the oven and cook for about 3 hours, or until the pork is tender and break it apart with two forks. Add 1 cup of bbq sauce, stir and place the pork back in the oven for another hour without the lid.
Let the pork cool for 20 minutes before serving (the Dutch oven will be extremely hot. Add more bbq sauce if needed or preferred. Serve on warm hamburgers, pickles and more bbq sauce, enjoy!
