Rosemary Lemon Water

Rosemary  and lemon infused in water has got to be one of the most refreshing drinks I’v had. I’m one of those people who has to constantly force myself to drink water throughout the day. The best way for me to drink more water is to infuse my water with some of my favorites. This time I tried something I never thought I would try; rosemary and lemon…and what a combo– love it!

All you need to do is:
Add a spring or 2 of fresh rosemary in a pitcher of water. Add in a sliced lemon (about 8 chunky slices). Let steep over night and there you have it!

Cucumber, Lemon, & Mint detox water

The last few detox waters I made have been a MAJOR hit! I have received tons of great feedback from them all so I am always in the makings of more delicious and refreshing waters. After all, water is the most important drink so why not make it extra delicious!? 😉

All you need is:
About 5 cucumber slices
3 lemon slices
About 4-6 mint leafs

Place ingredients in a mason jar and add water to the top. Let sit over night so the water can absorb all of the nutrients. I highly recommend making a large batch of this because you are going to want more…the best part about it is, the more you drink the best it is for you!

Ever since I started my 2 week Skinny Fox Detox at the beginning of January I have still continued to detox by making my own detox drinks. I try to bring a large mason jar with me to work everyday with one of my detox recipes and I can tell you that it is so much easier to drink than plain regular water! You can get real creative here so use your favorite fruits, mix it up, and drink up! Chia seeds have so many excellent health benefits you should try to get at least one serving a day and adding it to you water is the easiest way for me to get it in daily.

All you need is:
1 large mason jar
1/2 cup of your favorite fruit (I used sliced strawberries)
1 Tbsp chia seeds
Water

Add fruit and chia seeds to mason jar and fill with water. Let sit overnight and enjoy the next morning! Such an each way to stay healthy and hydrated!

Orange Mint Detox Water

I made another overnight detox water creation and it is too refreshing, especially if you like the taste of a citrus orange and spicy mint flavor!

All you need is
1/2 orange; sliced
1/4 cup mint (I like to leave them whole)
Water

Put in orange slices and mint into a mason jar, fill with water and put in refrigerator overnight. The next morning you’ll have a refreshing glass of water!

Chinese Chicken Cobb Salad with a Ginger Sesame Vinaigrette

I love Cobb salads and I also love Chinese Chicken salads so I decided to combine the two! You can even add shrimp or another type of seafood or meat if you would like as well.

Yield: 2

Ingredients:
4 cups romaine lettuce; chopped
1 avocado; cubed
4 ounces of grilled chilled; chopped
1 (12 ounce) can mandarin oranges; drained
1 (12 ounce) can corn; drained
1/4 cup green onions; chopped
1/4 cup red bell peppers; chopped

Ginger Sesame Vinaigrette
1 Tbsp sesame oil
1 Tbsp honey (heat in microwave for 10 seconds to melt)
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp grated ginger
1/2 tsp garlic powder
3 Tbsp rice wine vinegar

Steps:
1. In a medium bowl, whisk together sesame oil, slightly melted honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic powder, and vinegar. Add lettuce and toss together with tongs until evenly coated.

2. Assemble salad on plate or bowl with the salad on the bottom. Then top with rows of mandarin oranges, bell peppers, avocado, chicken, corn, and green onions.
