Banana Maple Chia Overnight Oats

Overnights are my new favorite thing these days! Eating healthy is also a favorite of mine too. I run at least 3 miles everyday right when I wake up..I’ve noticed it really keeps me energized and refreshed all throughout the day. It also motivates me to fuel my body with fresh and nutritious foods throughout the day. Since breakfast is such a quick ‘grab-n-go’ kinda thing for me, these oats make it easy to eat healthy on the run. There is tons of fiber to keep ya feeling full until lunch–there is also NO sugar, so these little oats are naturally sweet 🙂
I also love mason jars and this is one of the many reasons why. They are just so cute and convenient. If you don’t have mason jars you could also use simple containers or even bowls.

Ingredients:
1 cup of uncooked oats
2 Tbsp chia seeds
1 cup almond milk
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp sugar free maple syrup
1/2 banana; sliced

Steps:
1. Combine all ingredients and mix with a wooden spoon. Spoon oatmeal into mason jars and top with favorite fruit and/or nuts. Let sit overnight in fridge and enjoy the next morning!

So I’ve been on a chia seed kick for the last few weeks and I can tell you they make me feel great! Chia seeds are so unbelievably good for you and it’s also another great way to detox. The little seeds have protein and fiber in them so I always feel satisfied after drinking it and in addition, they are loaded with  antioxidants and many other vitamins. Try swooping out your morning cup of coffee for this natural energizing drink, it’s totally worth it and your body will thank you later.

1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 Tbsp honey

Strawberry Chia Seed Water

Ever since I started my 2 week Skinny Fox Detox at the beginning of January I have still continued to detox by making my own detox drinks. I try to bring a large mason jar with me to work everyday with one of my detox recipes and I can tell you that it is so much easier to drink than plain regular water! You can get real creative here so use your favorite fruits, mix it up, and drink up! Chia seeds have so many excellent health benefits you should try to get at least one serving a day and adding it to you water is the easiest way for me to get it in daily.

All you need is:
1 large mason jar
1/2 cup of your favorite fruit (I used sliced strawberries)
1 Tbsp chia seeds
Water

Add fruit and chia seeds to mason jar and fill with water. Let sit overnight and enjoy the next morning! Such an each way to stay healthy and hydrated!
